What a difference a week makes. After losing to Horspath in the knock out cup last week, Tower were back to their best with an excellent all round team performance to win 3-1 at Horspath.
Tower started the stronger and were soon on the attack and were unlucky not to take an early lead with Jamie Harris and Luke Bolley just off target. Surely a goal was not far away and Luke Bolley duly obliged with an excellent strike that found the top corner to give Tower a deserved lead. Horspath were not out of it and they continued to battle well but were restricted to a couple of shots and were unable to break the Tower defence. Tower continued to dominate the first half and Jacob Hughes made it 0-2 with a looping shot that squeezed in the net. Half time score 0-2.
In the second half Tower continued their good form with an excellent move with Daniel Bullock unlucky not to score. Horspath were also playing well now and the impressive Luca Headford made it 1-2 with a good strike that found the top corner. Tower needed a third goal and two minutes from time Yassin Elouahabi sealed the points with a another quality finish and celebrated with an Arshavin sshhhh!
