CROWDS of people cheered on 35 firewalkers who braved hot coals for charity.
A 20ft path of coals heated to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit was laid out in Market Square, Witney, yesterday.
The volunteers completed the sponsored firewalk after a two-hour motivational speech.
Natasha Hall, of Ducklington, raised £250 for Against Breast Cancer.
She said: “It was brilliant. We all had a really good time.
“The motivational talk we had beforehand was brilliant. By the end we would have walked through a brick wall to get to the hot coals.
“Lots of people turned up and everybody was really supportive of each other.
“We were all cheering each other on.”
The firewalk was organised by the mayor of Witney, James Mills.
Mr Mills, 34, raised funds for East Oxford’s Helen and Douglas House hospice and the Base 33 youth group in Witney.
