The landlord of a Fernham pub has been fined for holding an illegal party into the early hours of the morning by Didcot magistrates.
Loud music was heard coming from the Woodman Inn, in the hamlet south of Faringdon, almost two hours later than his licence allowed, magistrates heard.
Licencee Steven Whiting previously admitted staging an unauthorised licensable activity. He was fined £500 and ordered to pay a further £500 towards the costs of the prosecution.
A Vale council spokesman said: “While we have no problem with people having a party and enjoying themselves, they must take those living nearby into consideration.”
