Oxford Nobel Prize winner Dorothy Hodgkin will be seen on millions of letters after being honoured in a new set of Royal Mail stamps celebrating the 350th anniversary of the Royal Society.
The stamp marks her discovery of the structure of insulin and penicillin, which led to major advances in medicine.
A resident of North Oxford, she received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1964, becoming the only British woman scientist to win a Nobel so far. She is also the only woman among the 10 figures chosen by Royal Mail to represent the last 350 years of science.
Other famous scientists to feature on the stamps include Isaac Newton and Ernest Rutherford.
