Police are investigating how a man came to be seriously injured in Banbury.
At about 11.10pm yesterday, officers were called to Ruscote Arcade Shops, in Longelandes Way, following reports that a man had been found at the bottom of a stairwell with serious injuries.
Det Con Matthew Bick said: “We are looking at how the 25-year-old man came to be at the bottom of the stairs. What we do know is that he had earlier been in one of the flats above the arcade.
“I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Banbury last night and has any information that could assist our enquiries to contact police immediately.
“A scene watch remains at the flats today while our investigation continues and the neighbourhood policing team are carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area.”
Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Det Con Bick via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
