Police today appealed for information about an attempted robbery at Martins Newsagents in Blackbird Leys, Oxford.
At about 2pm on Saturday, two white men came into the shop on Balfour Road and demanded money.
The first man wore a black hoodie top and was brandishing a crowbar. The second was wearing a dark navy blue jumper with white dots and light coloured jeans.
The men made off when the assistant called for help.
Det Insp Simon Morton said: “This was a very frightening incident for the staff in the shop and we are keen to apprehend these offenders as soon as possible. I would urge anyone who has information about this matter to come forward”.
