A competitive fixture between two sides of similar ability saw Summertown edge past Chalgrove to set up a final against Horspath who overcame Kidlington in the other semi-final.
The first match was very much Summertown's who moved the ball well and really took the game to Cavaliers and with a combination of fantastic goalkeeping, great defensive blocks and the 'woodwork' the score somehow only finished at 3-1 to Summertown with Summertown's scorers being Mathew Stavely-Taylor, Jack Dark and James Gibbon, Chalgrove's reply was through Joe Chown.
The second match was a lot more even as Chalgrove strived to claw back the deficit and for large spells were on top and dominant but just couldn't find a way through the Summertown defence. It was only the second half of this game that nerves seemed to get the better of Summertown and even after scoring the first goal through Jacob Bright suddenly found themselves conceding two very quick goals through Sam Burman and Nicholas Little.
With more than 3 minutes left to play Chalgrove threw everyone forward to try and get that equaliser and push the match into penalties but it wasn't to be and Summertown managed to hold on and were relieved to hear the final whistle.
