PRIMARY school pupils dressed up as Easter bunnies to urge people to ditch chocolate eggs and donate money to children’s hospice Helen and Douglas House instead.
The children, from Windmill Primary School in Headington, Oxford, donned the costumes on Friday as the hospice launched the campaign as a calorie-free alternative to chocolate.
Everyone who donates will receive a special Easter certificate.
Lochie Craig, 10, and Alfie Bakker, eight, were among those who dressed up for the good cause.
Headteacher Lynn Knapp said the children had chosen the hospice as a charity to support this year.
She said: “It was nice to be involved because it is such an important charity for the area. Our children are so generous. I’m sure some of them would give up chocolate for the appeal.”
