Abingdon started the brightest on this crisp and cold morning and Max Shepherd thought he had put Abingdon one up after a couple of minutes but was offside when he poked the ball home from 3 yards.
Oxford then got a grip of the game and started to put Abingdon under pressure, but Harry Johnson at the heart of the Abingdon defense cleared any danger.
The Abingdon midfield duo of Dustin Addison and George Woodley started to stamp their authority on the game, when Dustin Addison beat a defender then passed to Matt Pearson on the right who out-paced the Oxford left back and beat the keeper from a tight angle, to put Abingdon one up at half time.
Second Half and with the sun in there eyes Oxford forced Abingdon onto the back foot. Both teams had chances until James Pearce-Shaw passed to George Woodley who ran from the half way line to send the Oxford keeper the wrong way and score from the edge of the box.
Abingdon now 2 up and were going for the third, with James Pearce-Shaw hitting the post, Max Shepherd and Daniel Jacob both missing glorious chances the game was put to bed after George Woodley ran onto a through ball by Daniel Jacob and rounded the Oxford keeper to score into an open goal.
Oxford could of snatched a late goal but were denied by Harrison Crabb in the Abingdon goal, final score Oxford City 0 - 3 Abingdon Youth.
