The annual Oxfordshire Science Festival (this year part of Seasons of Science) is where hands and minds can get busy exploring, debating, experiencing and discussing science at the many events held across the county.
The festival takes place over two weeks and will feature more than 100 different events.
The festival will be launched on Saturday (March 6) at a spectacular outdoor event called Science in our World. Here 20 Oxfordshire science organisations will gather in the heart of the city centre to run stalls and interactive activities.
Step2Dance will also be there, premiering their new dance piece, Street Science, as will Oxford Philomusica, who will perform their new commission, Mathemusica.
Festival highlights include the lectures Contagious Extinction, Ecosystem Collapse at the James Martin 21st Century School, family friendly science days, Wow!How? and Science in the Kitchen (which promise to dazzle and delight with experiments for all), as well as scientific open days, theatre performances and even a science bazaar, to be held at Oxford Brookes University.
