With what has been happening in British politics in recent years, Britons can show their contempt in the next few weeks at General Election time with the ‘V-sign’!
During the Second World War, Winston Churchill craftily turned the V-sign to his own, and the nation’s, advantage, without being vulgar, indicating ‘V’ for victory – a great morale booster during the war.
Let’s clean up democracy with tougher action on MP’s expenses.
£50m a day out of our taxes go to Brussels. EU membership costs the average family an extra £30 per week on food bills, and energy bills are too high because of EU legislation.
Wouldn’t it be interesting to see if the reversed two-fingered gesture still works today?
