TWO days after headteacher Alison Ashcroft took over at All Saints Primary School in Sutton Courtenay the playground was condemned.
Since that day, in September last year, pupils have been working on ideas for equipment – and this week unveiled their new £20,000 playground.
Pupils drew up designs for the new playground and two were chosen – a play galleon for younger children and a hide-and-seek trail with balancing logs, monkey bars and a scramble net.
Pupil Alex Foley, eight, from Didcot, said: “I love the new equipment because it’s really fun and all the obstacles are great.”
The Parents and Friends of All Saints provided £2,000 towards the project, with the rest coming from the county council.
