ANOTHER great British insitution, Cadbury, has been taken over.

What a tragedy.

The fact that the Kraft buy-out has ben financed by a British Bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland – a bank bailed out by the British Government – makes it all the more painful. It means that British job losses could be subsidised by the tax payer.

Industry is fast disappearing in Britain: ship building, coal mining, and aircraft and motorcycle production to name but a few.

I wonder if, in the future, our once-great country will be renamed Tescoland, as supermarkets seem to be the only growth business.
