An injured baby remains in a serious condition in hospital today, following an incident on Tuesday.
Police were called to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital on Tuesday night when doctors raised concerns about a baby’s injuries.
A 16-year-old girl and 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and released on bail until March 16.
Police spokesman Chris Kearney this morning described the baby’s condition as “serious”.
Detectives from the Child Investigation Unit at Cowley Police Station have also launched an investigation into the cause of the injuries.
No further details have been released.
