THREE schoolboys put on their trainers and ran 10 miles to raise money for earthquake victims.
Luke Coles, Dan Burgess and Eddie Gronbech, all Year Six pupils at Hanborough Manor School, in Long Hanborough, collected more than £180 for the appeal.
The boys, who all play for Hanborough Youth Football Team, ran from their homes in Long Hanborough to Yarnton Nurseries and back – a total of 10 miles.
Luke’s father, Jon, said: “They encouraged each other as they went through difficult spells and made it to Yarnton Nurseries in about an hour.”
Although parents were on hand to offer lifts, the boys decided to run back home as well.
