POLICE helicopters have joined the search for a pensioner who went missing from Charlbury last night.
Dementia sufferer David Sturdy, 74, of Woodfield Drive, was last seen by his wife at about 11pm.
Police believe he left the house through the back door some time before 8.15am today.
Mr Sturdy is white, 6ft, wears glasses and heavily built. He is thought to be wearing dark moleskin trousers, a green tweed sports jacket, a green tweed cap, a jumper with green, red and brown stripes and brown sued shoes.
He was due to go on a trip with his wife to London today by train.
