Police are appealing for information after a recent spate of burglaries in the south Oxfordshire area.
On January 25 between 7am and 10pm, thieves broke into a property in Chiltern Road, Sonning Common, by forcing open the front door.
Between 3pm and 6.50pm on the same day, burglars smashed a rear window at a property in Kidmore Lane, Sonning Common. They searched the house but didn’t steal anything.
In Love Lane, Watlington, two houses were burgled during the night of January 26. At one property the offenders forced open the rear door and stole jewellery and cash and at the other property they forced open a downstairs window but didn’t manage to gain entry.
Det Con Georgina Bradley said: “We have had reports that there were some men acting suspiciously in the Pyrton area near the time of the burglaries and I appeal to anyone who might have seen these men, or have information to help with the investigation, to get in touch.”
Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact Det Con Bradley at Henley police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111
