Households across Oxfordshire will pay an extra £2.59 a month in council tax from April, early figures show.
Oxfordshire County Council — which is responsible for the lion’s share of council tax bills — has said 2010/11 bills will increase by 2.75 per cent this year, or 60p a week.
In April, the bill for a typical Band D property would be about £1,161.71 — an increase of £31.09 on 2009/10.
However, the total bill will not be known until district councils and Thames Valley Police decide on their respective precepts.
