A 30-year-old man has been charged with possession of a 'bladed article', after he was stopped and searched by officers in Banbury.
Marcin Fron, of Grimsbury Square, was stopped in East Street at about 8.40pm last Thursday as part of the on-going Operation Juggernaut.
Fron has been bailed to appear at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on February 9.
PC Richie Iwanoff, from the Cherwell priority crime team, said: “Operation Juggernaut is a proactive operation across the Cherwell police area which sets out to disrupt criminals and criminal activity.
“This arrest is another example of the robust use of stop and search powers to disrupt people suspected of committing offences on the area, and reduce crime and the fear of crime in the community.”
