A man was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury in the middle of a rugby match between Oxford Harlequins and Broadmoor on Saturday.
The Thames Valley Air Ambulance was called to the ground in North Hinksey but the patient, one of the players, was transported by land ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Emergency services were called at 3.07pm.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service could not confirm the extent of the man’s injuries.
