An Oxford bar could be prosecuted after government investigators found an unlicensed bouncer working the door.
Police and the government’s Security Industry Authority (SIA) carried out spot-checks on 14 bars, pubs and clubs in Oxford on Friday night.
Of 20 door staff inspected, 18 had valid licences, one had left his licence at home and a second, at Thirst, in Park End Street, had an expired licence.
Managers will meet Oxford City Council licensing chiefs but the premises could face prosecution for breaching its alcohol licence.
