A BURFORD pensioner was robbed by two distraction burglars who claimed to be police officers.
The 86-year-old woman had £150 stolen yesterday by men who knocked on her door claiming they had received a call from a neighbour stating her bedroom window was open.
They went inside and one of the offenders showed her some money, claiming he had two people in a car outside who were responsible for taking it.
When the men had left the woman noticed about £150 had been taken from a bag in the living room.
The incident happened at a house off Barns Lane at around 9pm.
The offenders were large, spoke with local accents and were wearing dark clothing.
