Sir – You recently reported the acquisition of a lease on Rochester House for the Story Museum, and last week you had a two-page feature on the project.
On both occasions, you (and presumably your informants) have represented this as “the first children’s storytelling museum”.
There is precisely such a venture in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, known as Seven Stories (www.sevenstories.org.uk) which has been in operation for several years.
That you should be unaware of this is the more surprising since Philip Pullman is a patron of both!
