JEREMY Smith’s Man About Town column (Oxford Mail, January 18) was so refreshing.
It was nice to hear of someone who enjoyed the beauty that a good snowfall brings. It certainly covers up the cracks of our everyday city. We can’t even see the rubbish!
All the wonderful photographs that your readers sent in helped to cheer us up too.
The pity is, when the snow is gone, there is even more mess than usual.
Dog owners are more careless in the snow. They forget that the mess doesn’t melt, like the snow.
It is so much easier to clean up when the snow is on the ground, why do so many people not bother?
I will stop here before I become one of the grumpy old folk that Jeremy was writing about.
