Police today appealed for information after an attempted robbery on a cyclist in Oxford.
At 8.40am, a man was cycling in Paradise Street when a man approached him and punched him, demanding he hand over his belongings.
The man refused to give the robber anything and he ran away.
The robber was in his early twenties, about 5ft 10in tall, stocky, had a dark tanned complexion, with a broad face and short black, curly hair. He was wearing a shiny black jacket.
Det Con Karl Ralph, said: “There were plenty of people around at the time and I urge anyone with any information that could help with the investigation to get in touch.”
