POLICE were this morning still looking for a man who stabbed a doorman outside a city centre pub.
Lee Donnelly was stabbed in the stomach with a knife outside the Four Candles in George Street about 12.46am on Sunday.
His attacker fled and Mr Donnelly, 39, was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment for his injuries, but has since been discharged.
Det Insp Simon Morton said: “I would like to reassure the community that incidents like this are rare and that we are doing all we can to catch whoever is responsible.
“There is a team of detectives dedicated to this case, following every line of enquiry and investigating every possible avenue.
“I would like to ask everyone who was in the area at the time to think back and, if they remember seeing anyone acting suspiciously, to contact me.”
The offender is described as white, about 20 years old, approximately 5ft 8ins, and of medium build.
Officers said he had dark hair and was wearing a dark blue or black long-sleeve top, dark blue jeans and white trainers.
