Police today renewed an appeal for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Oxford during the early hours of Sunday.
At 12.46am, police were called to The Four Candles pub in George Street, after doorman Lee Donnelly, 39, was stabbed in the stomach with a knife.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, for treatment for his injuries, and has since been discharged.
Det Insp Simon Morton said: “I would like to reassure the community that incidents like this are rare and that we are doing all we can to catch whoever is responsible.
“There is a team of detectives dedicated to this case, following every line of enquiry and investigating every possible avenue.
“I would like to ask everyone who was in the area at the time to think back and, if they remember seeing anyone acting suspiciously, to contact me.”
The assailant was white, about 20 years old, approximately 5ft 8in tall, and of medium build.
He had dark hair and was wearing a dark blue or black long-sleeve top, dark blue jeans and white trainers.
