I would like to say how the sight of policemen sledging on Boars Hill made me smile.
In the past three weeks these officers, like thousands of others, will have been out in all weathers with little or no time off, helping to keep routes open and dealing with the aftermath of the bad weather.
Along with the other emergency services they did an outstanding job in the most difficult of conditions. To take two minutes to be active and partake in a community activity is to be welcomed and congratulated.
How many times do young people have the opportunity to see the police in an active community role such as this, showing the human side of policing? Well done guys. I hope you had fun.
