The people of Blackbird Leys are celebrating after winning a 10-year battle to get a rat-run for troublemakers blocked off.
Locals have coped with people drinking and smoking drugs, kicking fences and littering the area with rubbish since 2000.
Oxfordshire County Council has finally padlocked three gates on an alleyway between Pegasus Road and Windale Avenue. But it has been a long fight and neighbours told us they thought the day would never come.
Today, we also feature people in Headington who are battling to keep open the London Road subway.
They believe the council is pushing ahead with something the community does not want.
However, just as with Windale Avenue, there can be a happy ending for those who truly believe in a cause.
