POLICE are trying to trace a taxi driver who may have been the last person to see a Wheatley man alive.
Joshua Nunan, 22, plunged to his death from the Westgate shopping centre in Oxford on Boxing Day.
Today officers, who are treating the death as unexplained, released images of a taxi which is believed to have dropped Mr Nunan in the city centre shortly before he died.
Det Con Lisa Heaton, of Oxford CID, said Mr Nunan was picked up by a taxi outside John Radcliffe Hospital, near the junction with Headley Way, in Headington at around 9.30pm on December 26.
Mr Nunan, of London Road, in Wheatley, was then dropped off at the junction of High Street and St Aldate’s in the city centre at about 9.40pm.
Det Con Lisa Heaton, investigating the incident, said: “Shortly after, at 9.58pm, the man was found dead at the bottom of the Westgate car park.
“The man has been identified as Joshua Nunan. He was white, slim, with short brown hair, wearing light coloured trousers and a three quarter length, light brown coat.
“I am appealing for the taxi driver to come forward and speak to police, as we believe he was the last person who saw Joshua alive and may be able to assist our enquiries.”
This is the first time police have appealed for information surrounding the Boxing Day death.
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
