A CALL centre worker who was shot during a firearms awareness course has received hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation from Thames Valley Police.
Keith Tilbury, 56, nearly died and was in intensive care for two weeks when he was shot with a .44 Magnum revolver in a classroom in Kidlington in May 2007.
This morning it was revealed Mr Tilbury has been awarded a six figure sum in an out of court settlement after Thames Valley Police admitted liability for the incident.
Mr Tilbury originally claimed for £300,000 but his solicitors have not confirmed the exact amount paid to their client. Thames Valley Police have not yet commented.
