As part of National Apprenticeship Week the south east region of the National Apprenticeship Service is giving employers the chance to find out at first hand how apprenticeships can benefit their business.
Hosted by the National Apprenticeship Service with Oxfordshire County Council, employers are invited to a business breakfast seminar on February 2 at the Said Business School, Egrove Park, Kennington Road, Kennington, Oxford OX1 5NY.
The seminar features speakers from the National Apprenticeship Service and top local employers. Delegates will be able to hear about Government plans for apprenticeships, how to benefit from funding available to cover the cost of training, the business benefits and the free vacancy matching service.
Employers will also be able to find out details of the latest offer – a new apprenticeship grant of £2,500 to take on an unemployed 16 or 17-year-old apprentice immediately.
A Business Link Skills Adviser will also be on hand to help employers with Apprenticeship and other skills queries.
The event is free but delegates must pre-book. To book a place e-mail jane.atkins@apprenticeships.gov.uk
