Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected across parts of Oxfordshire today.
The Environment Agency has issued Flood Watches for several rivers in the county, the lowest level of alert in the organisation’s warning system.
Rivers on Flood Watch are the rivers Cherwell, Ray, Thame and Chalgrove Brook, Windrush from Bourton to Newbridge, and the River Thames and tributaries in the Abingdon and Oxford area, and also from Buscot to King’s Lock and from Days Lock, Little Wittenham, to Whitchurch Lock.
