Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary at the Co-operative Store in Charlbury today.
Shortly before 3am, offenders were disturbed by the alarm at the store in Enstone Road as they attempted to break into the building.
Det Con Mick Jenks said: “The offenders made away from the scene in a silver car.
“I appeal to anyone who saw people acting suspiciously to contact police immediately.
“Shortly after, four people were stopped in a car in Deddington by Thames Valley Police Roads Policing Officers and were arrested in connection with the incident.”
The men, aged 19, 22, 23 and 27 are in custody.
