A man was taken to hospital after he was hit in the face with a bottle in Oxford.
The 23-year-old man was walking in Cornmarket Street when a man hit him in the face with a bottle, near KFC, at about 3.15am on Saturday.
The offender, who was walking with about five other men, was dark skinned, in his twenties, about 6ft tall and was wearing a dark hooded top.
PC Patricia Coyne said: “The victim was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he received stitches to his cut lip.
“I appeal to anyone who was in this area of the city in the early hours of Saturday morning and witnessed the assault to contact police.”
