THE Goose at Britwell Salome has received a Michelin star in the 2010 guide.
Ryan Simpson has become the restaurant’s third head chef in the past decade to earn the coveted culinary award, following Mike North and Matthew Tompkinson.
The 26-year-old, of Chestnut Place, Watlington, joined the restaurant in 2008.
Last year, the restaurant was also awarded five stars in The Good Food Guide, with Mr Simpson named best up-and-coming chef.
Mr North’s new restaurant, the Nut Tree at Murcott, retained its Michelin star in the new guide, while Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, in Great Milton, kept its two stars.
