Three separate car crashes happened on the same stretch of road this morning.
One man had to be cut from his car after it left the A415 by Cokethorpe School in Ducklington, near Witney, at about 6.15am.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two other vehicles also left the road in icy conditions later in the morning, although neither driver was seriously hurt.
Firefighters attended two of the incidents.
Crew manager Chris Hollis from Witney fire station said: “It was like an ice rink out there – the conditions were treacherous.”
Station manager Simon Belcher said “We would like to stress to people that conditions on the roads will remain hazardous for many days to come due to the low temperatures and amount of water left over from the snow.”
