LIFEWAYS Community Care Ltd, which ran an Oxford care home where a disabled teenage girl was scalded in bath water and later died, is due to be sentenced for a health and safety offence on Friday.
The company ran the care home in Owens Way, Cowley, Oxford, and has previously admitted it made errors which led to the death of disabled 18-year-old Yelena Hasselberg-Langley.
Miss Hasselberg-Langley, from Abingdon, died of multiple organ failure in a specialist unit four days after she was lowered into a scalding hot bath at the home.
At Oxford Crown Court today the care home company and the Health and Safety Executive laid out arguments before Judge Patrick Eccles.
The judge adjourned the hearing until Friday, when he will announce his sentence.
