CRAIG Theobald, landlord of the White House pub in Grove Road, Bladon, said he heard a low flying plane go past at about 2pm.
He said: “We heard the engine really revving, and spluttering, but didn’t think anything of it.
“It must have been flying very low by the sounds of it.
“It’s testament to whoever was flying that they didn’t hit any houses, it was that low.”
Police have called a press conference later this afternoon. Two people have been confirmed dead following the crash.
