Expansion has prompted two major companies to spread their wings at Milton Park. Mobile phone management company ttMobiles, which specialises in corporate mobile phones, has won several new contacts during the last year and has boosted its existing space on the park from 3,832 sq ft to 5,748 sq ft by leasing the ground floor in the building next door.
And pioneering surgical technology company Plasma Surgical has become a new tenant.
Twelve new members of staff have been recruited at ttMobiles during the last year, bringing its total workforce in Oxfordshire to 48. Product development director Peter Readman said: “The nature of our business is to help other organisations save money and increase efficiencies.
“This has allowed us to remain, despite the difficult business climate. The increased premises at Milton Park is set to help us continue to grow the business and accommodate our expanding workforce.”
Meanwhile, Plasma Surgical is set to triple its five-strong staff at its new premises in the next year.
The company, which develops revolutionary clinical applications using plasma to cut and coagulate tissue, has moved its headquarters and UK staff to Oxfordshire from Theale, near Reading.
The company is increasing its business premises, taking a new production suite together with office accommodation.
Richard Stoney, operations manager of Plasma Surgical which employs 43 workers worldwide, said: “As some of our staff have previously worked at other businesses on Milton Park, we knew about the advantages of this location and the wide range of accommodation at the park.
“It is important for us to be based in a like-minded, supportive community, and Milton Park provides just that. We are excited to continue to develop our business and become part of the innovative community on the park following our move.”
