All smiles at the party in 1956
IT WAS a date the village children looked forward to.
Every one of them was invited to a party organised by members of Sutton Courtenay football club.
The tables came out, the hats were put on and as this picture taken in 1956 shows, they all had a great time.
There was always plenty to eat and drink, plus lots of entertainment.
The party was held at the old village hall in what was Village Hall Lane, now renamed Wallingford Way.
