I THOUGHT that Mick Heavey’s latest rant about bank security (Oxford Mail, December 14) was nonsense.

If his acquaintance abroad can invade the privacy of anyone’s bank details armed with just a name and address, shouldn’t we all be worried about our names and addresses being printed at the bottom of each of these letters?

Are we now all to panic about being listed in the publicly available phone book too? Nonsense!
