Police today appealed for witnesses after an outbuilding was broken into in Oxford, and £11,000 of fishing equipment was stolen.
Some time between 6pm on December 20 and 8pm on December 22, thieves have forced their way into the outbuilding of a property in Balfour Road, Blackbird Leys, and stole the equipment.
Items stolen included two Preston hardcase double rod holdalls with equipment inside, two Milo double rod holdalls with equipment inside, a Milo eight-tube holdall with equipment, a Milo 800 seat box with equipment, a large Milo holdall with equipment inside and ten fishing rods.
PC Kim Burnett said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen people in the area at the time of the theft acting suspiciously.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered any items like these to buy.”
