Oxford Bus Company plans to operate a normal weekend service, as far as possible.
However, the condition of some side roads remains too dangerous for buses to run, so some routes are diverted along the nearest main roads.
Services currently affected are: 4, which cannot serve Elms Rise, Dean Court or Sandleigh Road; 6, cannot serve Wolvercote village, with buses turning back at the Wolvercote roundabout in Woodstock Road; 8, not serving Wayneflete Road; 9, not serving Risinghurst; 13, not serving Northway; 35, not serving Kennington and Radley, buses divert via Lodge Hill and Twelve Acre Drive; X2, not serving Broadway in Didcot, terminating at Parkway station; X3/X13, not serving Northway; BrookesBus U1, not serving Wheatley campus.
Other services, including Oxford park-and-rides, Oxford Espress and Airline coaches, are running to normal timetables, though are subject to delays due to road conditions.
Stagecoach Oxfordshire is also operating as many services as possible to normal timetables but is also avoiding some side roads for safety reasons.
Routes currently subject to alterations are: 1, which cannot serve Herschel Crescent in Oxford; 17, not serving Wren Road and Canal Street in Oxford; 59, which cannot serve villages off the A4260; 64, not serving Kencot and Langford and buses are leaving from the Market Square in Carterton; 242, running along main roads only; 488, cannot serve Milcombe, Hook Norton, Great Rollright and Over Norton, all services running on the 489 route along the A361; S1, running in two sections, with 30-minute interval service between Carterton and Witney and normal frequency between Witney and Oxford. Buses cannot serve Burwell Drive in Witney, or Eynsham; S2, unable to serve Minster Lovell; S3, running Chipping Norton-Oxford only; Banbury town route B5, serving Warwick Road, Orchard Way and Wood Green Avenue only; B8, serving Ruscote Avenue only.
The following Stagecoach services are suspended: 11; 18; 19; 213; 214; 215; 233; B1; B2.
Thames Travel will operate normal services from 6.55am until 7pm tomorrow on the following routes: 32, but it will not serve East Hendred, Ardington, Charlton and Stockham due to road conditions; X32, but not serving Chilton or the Orchard Centre in Didcot; X39; X40; 101; 130, but not serving Blackstone Road, Wilding Road and St Nicholas Road in Wallingford, or the Orchard Centre; 132 serving RAF Benson; 133 Goring-Reading, but bypassing Upper Basildon; 139, first bus from Wallingford 8.48am, first from Henley 9.13am; 136. All other Thames Travel Oxfordshire services remain suspended.
RH Transport is asking passengers to call its information line on 01993 869100 for details of which services will be running over the weekend, due to the difficult road conditions in west Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse and the forecast of more freezing weather.
