People across Cherwell district are being asked to leave their rubbish out for collection if it has been missed.
A council spokesman said plans had been put in place to make sure all refuse and recycling, except garden waste, is dealt with but it must be accessible to crews when they arrive.
Collections were cancelled yesterday and today due to very slippery conditions making driving and walking treacherous.
Tomorrow’s collections have also been cancelled due to expected icy conditions and the lack of anywhere to take refuse and recycling as those centres are closed.
The council said the following arrangements would apply unless further bad weather hampered the efforts of collection staff:
- Bins which should have been collected yesterday will now be collected on Tuesday, January 12.
- Bins which should have been collected today will now be collected on Wednesday, January 13.
- All garden waste collections will be cancelled next week and bins which would have been collected tomorrow will be collected throughout the week by those crews.
- Bins due for collection next Tuesday will now be done on Thursday, those due for collection next Wednesday will be done on Friday, those set for collection on Thursday will be done on Saturday and those missed next Friday will be collected the following Monday, January 18.
