BMW’s Mini factory in Cowley was shut again this morning because of the adverse weather conditions while all routine outpatient appointments at the John Radcliffe Hospital have been cancelled.
However, the plant is expected to re-open later in the day.
BMW spokesman Rebecca Baxter said: “Due to continuing poor weather conditions, there will be no early shift production (but) we currently anticipate that the late shift will go ahead as scheduled.”

“This is so that we can use available staff and resources most effectively to treat emergencies and our current inpatients.
“Patients do not need to ring in to check on or rearrange their appointments — we will contact them in due course. The Trust will be contacting patients who do still need to attend for urgent treatment, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
“Our hospitals remain open and we will continue to see emergency patients”.
Car parks at the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals in Oxford and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury remain open to staff who are able to travel into work safely.
