Oxford artist and writer Roma Tearne has been chosen by Amanda Ross for her much-hyped new TV Book Club, which starts on C4 this month. Roma’s novel Brixton Beach, out in paperback on Monday (Harper Press, £7.99), will feature on February 28.
Opening with the 2005 London bombings, it explores the legacy of the civil war in Roma’s birthplace Sri Lanka, which she fled with her family aged ten.
