TRAIN services north of Oxford are being disrupted by heavy snow tonight.
Passengers are being advised by train operator First Great Western not to travel on the Cotswold Line between Oxford and Worcester and FGW services between Oxford, Islip and Bicester Town are also disrupted, with short-notice cancellations likely.
The 6.22pm service from London to Hereford was running 65 minutes late nearing its destination, due to problems on the route through the Cotswold hills west of Chipping Norton, where snow began falling at about noon.
The 7.22pm service from London to Hereford was diverted via an alternative route to Worcester and did not use the Cotswold Line. The 8.20pm from London to Great Malvern was running about 45 minutes late leaving Kingham station, in west Oxfordshire.
The 7.27pm from Worcester Foregate Street to Oxford is running about 80 minutes late and the 8.59pm from Worcester to London Paddington, due to call at Oxford at 10.27pm, has also been cancelled.
