A MASKED gang burst into a man’s house and stabbed him in the back.
Police are appealing for help after the gang forced their way inside a house in Shelley Road, in East Oxford, at about 7.20pm on December 27.
They made their way to a bedroom where one of them knifed a 26-year-old man.
Det Con Matt Welsh, of Oxford CID, said: “The man that was stabbed received treatment in hospital for a single wound and was later discharged.
“This is a very violent incident which happened only two days after Christmas.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at that time who may have seen something or anyone who has any information to contact police.”
Following the incident, four men, aged 35, 28, 22, and 19, and two women, aged 21 and 45-years-old, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and wounding with intent.
They have all been released on bail until February 23.
Anyone with information should contact police on 0845 850 5505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
