Six British soldiers killed in Afghanistan are due to be repatriated today.
The bodies of Warrant Officer Class 1 Darren Chant, 40, Sergeant Matthew Telford, 37, and Guardsman Jimmy Major, 18, from the Grenadier Guards, Corporal Steven Boote, 22, and Corporal Nicholas Webster-Smith, 24, of Brackley, from the Royal Military Police, and an unnamed soldier from 3rd Battalion The Rifles will be flown into RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire.
After a private ceremony for their families, their coffins will be driven to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for post-mortem examinations.
As has become customary, members of the Oxfordshire branch of the Royal British Legion will line part of the route where the cortege passes in Headley Way, Headington.
The cortege is expected to arrive at the John Radcliffe Hospital at about 4.30pm.
